Intentional Henna Art Show

Intentional henna follows the belief that one can implement change through intention. Some people use prayer or meditation. Others might like affirmations or visualizations. The premise being that it takes 21 days to form a new habit or break one. When you want to lose weight, you put that skinny picture of yourself on the fridge so every time you open the refrigerator door you see it and perhaps make a better choice. Your one step closer to your goal. Henna works much the same way. By using a symbol for health or calm mind or maybe even wealth, you can achieve those things by being reminded of them. New Beginning:  It is the heart of the lotus flower that signifies release and stimulates a renewed life.  The Lotus closes and disappears into the water each evening then reappears with the morning light to begin a new day, signifying rebirth and new beginnings.  The swirly band pattern, from a written fairy language, is a prayer of new beginnings.  The swirled vine is the Koru, a unfurling fern, reaching for the light, new life.  Everything is reborn and continues.
